Please have your child complete the first two pages of the following document. There is one page that is a stand alone and one to go in your child's Math Notebook. The following pages for for enrichment if you choose to use them.

## Place Value Assessment

We have finished our Place Value Unit and will be starting a new unit next week, so there will be *NO new math lessons* this week. Instead, if your child has worked through all of the lessons, please complete the *Place Value Assessment*.

- Print the assessment from the website OR write the questions on to your own paper to complete.
- Read each question to your child, but DO NOT help them achieve the answer.
- Your child MAY USE number lines, tens and ones blocks or other tools that we have used so far in this unit if they would like.
- When finished, take a picture or scan each page and
**send**the completed assessment back**to your teacher**via Seesaw or email.

We understand that with a very different form of learning, a lot of significant change and far less practice time, your child's performance on this assessment may not reflect their actual or potential for understanding. We are simply using this as a gauge for us to know how much of the material we covered has stuck and what areas will need further teaching and practice in the future. Thank you for your help in making this as accurate to their current understanding as you can by allowing them to think through and record their own answers.
